Every human being deserves the comfort and security of a safe haven to call home. Too often, the stigma of homelessness clouds our perception, preventing us from seeing the simple truth that among the homeless are young working professionals – individuals who contribute daily to society but face the harsh reality of unaffordable housing.
Beyond 21 years of age, many young adults find themselves aging out of the State foster care system, only to be faced with the many challenges of adulthood, with a lack of housing and limited social support networks being of primary concern. This is where our housing program steps in with a commitment to reduce the cost of living and provide a positive social support network that understands and encourages each other’s pursuit of self-sufficiency and well-being. Here at Therapy Homes, our vision is crystal clear – to offer safe, affordable housing solutions that do more than just provide shelter; they rebuild hope, transform lives, and offer a solid foundation for a brighter future.

Specialized housing serves an essential role in providing support to men and women dealing with specific life challenges such as reentry from incarceration, surviving domestic violence, or managing mental illness. Understanding the unique needs of these groups is crucial in ensuring that they receive the care and housing support necessary to lead safe, secure, and fulfilling lives.
At the heart of our nation, veterans serve a proud reminder of the sacrifices made for the freedoms we enjoy. But for too many veterans, the return to civilian life is challenged by the search for a stable and affordable housing. Recognizing this struggle, we have committed ourselves to providing housing options that honor their service and support their future. We offer a variety of cost-effective shared living arrangements with veterans’ needs in mind.
Our goal is to create environments that not only reduce the financial burden but also promote a sense of belonging. These housing spaces allow veterans to connect, share experiences, and support each other, mitigating the feelings of isolation that can sometimes follow military service. We work directly with the VA and all affiliations of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines to ensure that our servicemen and women are provided with safe, affordable, and quality housing upon returning home.
Are you a veteran seeking a stable, shared, and supportive living environment? Or a case manager working with veterans in need? If so, contact us today to find affordable solutions for your housing needs.
The concept of independent shared living is a rising trend for seniors and the elderly populations. This option allows for cost-sharing, community living, and mutual support among house guests, all while maintaining individual autonomy. Being part of a family network where neighbors look out for one another can greatly enhance the quality of social, emotional and mental health. Economic considerations, especially for those with fixed incomes, dictate the need for an affordable shared housing solution.
That is where we can assist. We have properties specifically designed and managed for elders and seniors on fixed incomes. Individuals must be able to move about and attend to personal care and instrumental activities of daily living, such as: taking medications, managing finances, food preparation, laundry, shopping, etc. In addition, they must also be able to: bathe, feed, dress, ambulate, etc. or otherwise independently care for their daily basic needs.
If an individual is unable to attend to their ADL’s and IADL’s, options exist to have outsourced care, such as home health aides or visiting nurses, to ensure that house guests can receive specialized care in the comfort of their own homes.
Are you a senior citizen looking for low-cost housing? or do you have a friend or family member that is elderly or a senior citizen in need of affordable housing in a shared living environment? If so, contact us immediately to complete our screening application.
For individuals grappling with trauma and addiction, the path to recovery often begins with finding a safe and nurturing environment that promotes healing. We know that 9 out of 10 people will never heal without safe and secure housing. Our recovery homes play a pivotal role in providing such spaces, where guests are not simply housed but are embraced by a community intent on cultivating positive bonds that support resilience and recovery.
The foundational belief of our recovery homes is that healing starts with the environment. We understand that the spaces in which we live greatly influence our behaviors, emotions, and overall mental health. That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to creating trauma-informed healing environments that do more than provide shelter; they foster a sense of safety, belonging, and stability that is crucial for individuals in recovery.
Our homes are intentionally designed to be calm, healing sanctuaries away from the triggers and stressors of the outside world. They serve as physical embodiments of hope and transformation, a place where house guests can feel supported as they work towards their individual goals. These homes maintain a strict policy of drug and alcohol free environments, similar to all our other homes, and each individual is encouraged to remain consistent with their recovery and treatment plans, program stipulations, medication protocols, or other specialized service requirements.
If you are a former alcoholic or drug user or you know someone who is, and are looking for housing in a shared living environment? Contact us today to complete our screening application for further housing consideration.
